Jurgen Klopp takes on a new challenge as the Global Head of Soccer for the Red Bull Group, bringing his passion and expertise to oversee their worldwide soccer operations.
In a pioneering move, Jurgen Klopp has officially joined as the new Global Head of Soccer for the Red Bull Group. The ex-Liverpool manager will be tasked with coordinating and supervising the soccer operations of all clubs under the Red Bull brand, such as RB Leipzig and RB Salzburg, commencing January 1, 2025. Klopp’s duties will involve advising on transfers, shaping strategies, and promoting development plans across the group.
Sharing his excitement for this new chapter, Klopp said, 'I want to work every day on nurturing the amazing soccer talent we have within the group.' Looking back on his almost 25 years as a coach, he added, 'After spending so much time on the sidelines, I couldn't be more excited to be part of a top-level project like this. Although my role may have changed, my passion for football and developing the game remains as strong as ever.'
This represents a major change in Klopp's career, as he moves from an active managerial position to one of strategic oversight on a global scale.
